Ideas for Practicing Responsible Activism

It is important to note that the order these ideas are in has nothing to do with their importance. Every single thing you do to improve yourself and practise responsible activism is of the utmost importance to the future long term health of our country. This list of ideas on how you can be a “Responsible Activist” is far from complete. I am counting on you the reader to help me make this list more thorough through your comments. As I write on each topic I will link them to their appropriate blog entry. And when I write on a topic that you have suggested I will always give credit unless you ask me not too. Please use this list not as a means to degrade others but to bring yourself up. It will take changing the person first if we are ever to change our country for the long term.

  5. Practice fiscal responsibility in your own home first

  19. Know your values and principals and strive to live by them

  72. Teach your children to seek out positive mentors and role models
  73. Practice your freedom of speech responsibly
  74. Admit to and give up your stereotypical or racist thoughts and actions
  75. Choose your associations wisely and review them regularly
  76. Admit when you are wrong, and be supportive when others admit they were wrong
